At Danbury Ridge, our single-vineyard wines come from individual sites and parcels that, over time, have shown a distinctive character of their own. They are the result of years spent learning how each vineyard performs, how differences in soil, aspect and mesoclimate influence the fruit, and which parts of those vineyards consistently merit being bottled separately.

We do not produce single-vineyard wines simply to extend the range. They are made only where we believe a site, or a particular parcel within it, has something individual to express. In some cases this has been evident from the beginning; in others, it has taken several vintages to understand the vineyard fully and isolate the fruit that stands apart.

In the cellar, the wines are handled with as much consistency as possible, allowing the differences between the vineyards to remain clear. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are particularly well suited to this approach, offering a direct way to explore how individual sites within the Crouch Valley can produce wines of markedly different character.

Production remains limited, with volumes determined by the vineyard and the vintage. The result is a collection of wines that sits alongside our Estate range, offering a more detailed view of the individual vineyards from which they come.
