As the name suggests, Danbury Ridge is located South East of the village of Danbury in Essex. The estate is situated between the Blackwater estuary to the north and the river Crouch to the south which have significant influence over the favourable climate for winegrowing enjoyed in the region. There are 29 acres under vine on the estate across three vineyards: Octagon Block, Sleipnir Block and Polo Field.

However, at Danbury Ridge we understand that no single estate can produce all the best fruit and so, we source grapes from growers in Essex who share our passion and commitment to growing the highest quality still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The search for great locations has brought about long-lasting partnerships in the Crouch Valley and Blackwater Estuary. We have carefully selected individual parcels of land to compliment the Danbury Ridge estate vineyards with London Clay soils, and with more open rolling aspects. The inclusion of our Associated Growers reflects the unrivalled quality of still Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes that Essex can produce. We only work with growers who are exacting in their practice, and we only accept grapes that are exceptional.
